It cleans, dries and stores maize grains in the hub with the storage capacity of 2,000 metric tones and there after processes.The YAHE International Regional Grain Hub covers the districts of
Nakaseke and parts of Wakiso, Kiboga, Luwero and Nakasongola
districts.
It is earmarked to serve at least twenty thousand (20,000) smallholder
farmers. Currently it is serving at least six thousand (6,000) farmers
organized under YAHE International (and Project Partners), and other
farmer based organizations within the environs of Kapeeka – Nakaseke
District. These include: -
- Kalagala Maize Growers Association (KAMGA)
- Nakaseke Maize Farmers Association and
- Nakaseke Maize Growers and Processors Association
Corporate and Regulatory Matters:
The Company was incorporated in Uganda on the 27th day of July 2017,
under Registration Number 80020000385039.
YAHE International is also registered for taxes with the Uganda Revenue
Authority with Taxpayer Identifcation Number (TIN) -1010747943.
The Company is validly registered as a Supplier with the Uganda Public
Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA). It is also
duly licensed to trade, by the Nakaseke District Local Government
under Trading License dated 11th October, 2017.
Grain handling and Storage infrastructure:
The Company boosts of a state of the art Grain handling and processing
Plant, which has been installed at Kapeeka – Nakaseke District,
approximately sixty (60) kilometers from Kampala City
